I heard nothing good when this first came out, so i didn’t see it in the cinemas. Now i really regret that. I loved it right from the start, it was like being a kid again watching the cartoon!

Transformers is horrible. Nothing but sweaty people, establishing shots of the pentagon, and retarded cgi. Speed Racer is incredible.

Anyone else think this is a little too F-Zeroish? The glamor, high speed thrills, tracks, characters, general attitude and general theme?
Methinks the speed racer movie got a little too much inspiration from F-Zero (X, GX, AX).

Is that me or any one else? The Asurada GSX in Cyber Formula seems somewhat resemble the Mach V in both shape and the role in the series….

did you ever watch the original cartoon? if you did then you would know that this movie was excellent in portraying it. the ending was awesome too

I saw the movie already. My advice is this. DO NOT EXPECT TOO MUCH. The visuals are a little over the top I feel. And you see all the colorful visuals in the trailer, you ain’t seen nothing yet! EVERYTHING IS COLORFUL!!! Some may like it, but Speed Racer is just not my cup of tea. I might learn to like it one day though.

Don’t bash it before you see it..the movie was amazingly awesome! The car races were some of the most well done action sequences I’ve ever seen.
