    I got one today! Perfect condition with the instruction card for less than $30 on ebay. It looks like new!

    I was about 6 when I got my pair with the ring. Lost mine too.I know the feeling.
    I was just explaining to my teenage son that for surfer/skaters here in California “back in the day” PF Flyers were the precursor to Vans.

    probably so, because the voice of Johnny Quest was Tim Matheson who went on to “Animal House” fame almost 15 years later

    In 1965 at age eight, after days of begging I finally got my PF Flyers. But careless me, I had the code ring for only two days. I lost it in my front lawn.

    PF Flyers are still available, they were brought back a few years ago by New Balance. Unfortunately they are made in China not the USA anymore.

    I just showed my kid this video. he’s 14 yrs old and was laughing. I told him that PF Flyers were the Nikes of the 60′s……thanks for the memories!!!!!!!

    I remember begging my my as a six-year olf for those PF flyers and ring, and I got them! They were so COOL to have–you were in the IN crowd at that time.

    I just had to have P.F. flyers when I was a kid and I remember that ring was such a P.O.S.didn’t work but I just had to have it.Man what a target promotion.And on top of it all the shoes were cheap too.Thanks for trip down memory lane.

    I absolutely remember this! Man I wanted that fucking ring LOL. Marketing to kids works. Sad but true. I had a pair of PF flyers but never got that #$%^&* ring. maybe Ebay has it somewhere.
