Yeah! Good thing you disabled the audio. We might actually ENJOY watching this classic.

And heaven forbid, we all know WMG is not making enough money as it is!!!! Lets steal this fun, too!!!!

Loved the theme music too. All the Hollywood studio greats of the day playing. I believe it was Bob O’Donnell on the screaming trumpet on the ending.

    Jonny Quest is The Best!

You won’t see a show like this on TV these days. It might scare someone or offend delicate feelings.

Excelent flute and trompet playing. A great theme for a great cartoon.

  8. EagleWarri0r Says:

What a great cartoon this was, i wish series like this would still be produced.

  9. ThousanWhite Says:

Jeez, what instruments DIDN’T they use for these credits! Wow.

Excellent point,star42.Quality never goes out of style for very long.

I loved this show when I was a kid. Cartoon Network used to show it every day after school. Now everything about Venture Brothers reminds me of it.

  12. Hendo56 Says:

I’m 52, and I remember when it came on on Friday nights! Back in the day, they showed cartoons during the week as well as Saturday. Bugs Bunny, the Flintstones, and this show were all on in prime time. :)

  13. liman42 Says:

Just turned 50 myself and I couldn’t agree more. Best Saturday show EVER!

  14. charlesalber Says:

Reverend Horton Heat did a cover of the Jonny Quest theme song back in the 90s

  15. PatOShea Says:

Everytime I see the Venture Brothers, I always think of this show.

It really says something about a 45 year old cartoon when you see people post things like:

-I loved watching this as a kid in the 60′s!
-I never missed it on Saturdays in the 70′s!
-I would run home to watch it in the 80′s!
-It was my FAVORITE cable show in the 90′

…and now a whole new generation finds out that this will probably be the best cartoon ever created.

Despite being 44 years old now, this cartoon is STILL one of the best cartoon series in the history of television. The only other series that compares is Batman TAS from the early 90′s. Jonny Quest had GREAT stories, great animation, and legendary voice over actors like Vic Perrin, Mike Roads, and Don Messick. This series is still the best, and it still beats 99.999% of the terrible cartoons that have been on TV since the early 1960′s- period. End of story!
    Great job Hanna/Barbera-You guys rock!

  18. Rickatspeedoflight Says:

Yes, I’m really dating myself. Glad you like it, too.

  19. ladyparrotluvr Says:

1964???? Wow! I didn’t know it was that old, I remember watching it in the 70s. Couldn’t wait to get home from school, it was on right after.

  20. SharanMcQuack Says:

5 bucks says they push Dr. Benton Quest WAY too much. (THEY love geeks because THEY ARE geeks.)

  21. SharanMcQuack Says:

I sometimes wonder how much my love of “Ducktales” comes from half-buried memories of THIS show. (of course, Launchpad’s a lot cooler than Race Bannon and certainly cooler than Dr. Benton Quest, but maybe that’s just me.)

  22. foxycorredor Says:

    God !!!

Favorited and rated with 5 stars !

  23. Idjitz Says:

Today they don’t really exist. Tight-fisted TV producers don’t want to pay royalties to musicians for their theme music, so TV series theme songs have become as rare as the ivory-billed woodpecker.

  24. tacticalsquadron Says:

That’s something that bothers me about the boomerang version of Jonny Quest. They cut Doug Wildey’s name from the credits. That’s like trying to say da Vinci had nothing to do with the Mona Lisa, you just don’t cut Doug Wildey’s name from the Jonny Quest credits. Otherwise, perfectly intact and perfectly excellent, but seriously, WTF?
