Kenny Delmar based his “McBragg” voice on veteran character actor C. Aubrey Smith. In fact, the early episodes (including this one) had him sounding almost like Smith in his prime!

Commander McBragg sure lived up to his name. You’ve got to admit, he had a great gift of gab: “Took off at dawn…dawn patrol, don’t you know.”

I looked forward to watching this little cartoon short every morning before school around the period of the late 1970’s early 1980’s, fond memories.

I love when he’s flying through the air without the plane. I remember these cartoons during the Tennessee tuxedo and Chumley show.
