The Quest family along with Race Bannon and Hadji fend off mummies, dinosaurs, frogmen pirates and robot spiders, while incorporating hovercrafts, jetpacks, and misc technological weapons. Wow…

While the PC crowd may, may have a point — Scooby-Doo is still done in the ‘cartoon universe’ — but JQ was done in the ‘real’ universe, by which I mean, you never saw characters running in place for a few moments BEFORE they started to move or something similar. It took me awhile to appreciate that. (Second the motion on never going to the Smurfs — or the Snorks for that matter.)

Did Hanna-Barbera ever make any good cartoons? This is just as terrible as I remember as a kid but I used to watch it anyway.

The Venture Bros is a direct parody of this cartoon and was intended as such.

Difficult to believe that the same people who brought the classic Jonny Quest also brought us the Flintstones, the Jetson’s, and Scooby-Do. Thank goodness they had good sense to keep some sense of physics with Jonny and Dr. Quest.

I love YouTube. I use it to prove to my kids that all the weird stuff I remember from my childhood was not just in my head! It was intense growing up in the 70′s.

I watched 1990′s Johnny Quest, both sereis have there unique flavours, so to speak, this has the classic 60′s adventure like the Avengers TV sereis, where the 90′s blended CGI computer imagary with cartoons, the first, not counting 1995′s reboot. Great intro.

Sweet! You gotta love that brassy jazz music intro! Dr, Benton Quest, Scientist, inventor, cool goatee wearer, supersonic jet owner! Made me think I could actually pursue my dream of being a Mad Scientist! Thanks Hanna Barbara for helping me derail my career track! lol

Yep this is an prime example of a cartoon. this show defines the term. But crap cartoons like ben 10 and chowder or that other bull I wouldnt even consider a cartoon.I really dont know what technology has kids watching today.I dont think 30 years from now people will care about flapjack, Ben 10, or chowder.Unlike Jonny quest which is still as popular if not more popular than those cartoons today.
